I wonder if my father was waiting for my oldest sister to come out so he could pass. It would not surprise me. After my father died, my older sister called me. Even though I’d read the test messages, she told me my father had died. She then proceeded to tell me that “we all know ‘my sister’s name’ that was my father’s favorite.
That was a surprise to me! I had no idea my oldest sister was my father’s favorite, Perhaps my father was waiting for my oldest sister to see him. I don’t really know that answer.
I did, in fact, have that happen to me. More on that in a future blog.
My sister was scheduled to leave the following day when my father died. That morning my father told my sister he was dying.
I got the news early Saturday afternoon (my time) that he’d died. My oldest sister had sent a group text stating the funeral home had picked up his body for cremation. My other sister called me to tell me he’d died (though I kinda figured that out already. I don’ t remember exactly what I felt, but I remember thinking I should feel sad that he’d died.
