We interrupt the normally schedule blog for a special breaking blog.
I was actually working on another blog to publish when this came up very, very recently. I hope to get back to that one, eventually.
I had left work to meet a plumber at my house when I had gotten a text. As an aside, there were 8 of us kids. 3 of my brothers have died. And us remaining ones are in a group family text. Now I hadn’t been home very long when my phone alerted me to a text from one of my siblings, posted in the group chat. The first chat I received, had to do with my father not having a very good weekend. I learned in that text that my father was in hospice. That occurred earlier last week. Other texts refer to my father going into hospice on Dec. 4th. That was certainly news to me.
So, as things turn out, and once I read the texts again, my father was initially “admitted” by a nurse into hospice on Dec. 4th. He is at his house during this time. This same nurse saw him again over a very recent weekend and thought that he was “peacefully dying”.
Anyway, I had left work for a little while in the morning so I could meet my plumber at my house for an issue. As he was in the basement assessing things, I received a text. This was a group text for me and my remaining siblings, set up by one of my sisters. That’s when I saw the text about my father dying.
More on this. This blog is going to be quite a few blogs.
