I was listening to a psychic medium on you tube, when the host mentioned a book entitled “The Untethered Soul.” It immediately piqued my interest. My massage therapist had that book. So I went to go buy it. It was the last copy at the store.
What it means to me after talking to the massage therapist in a spiritual life coaching session, is that I needed to untether myself from the childhood bonds of the catholic church I grew up in.
I heard a lot of “honor thy father and mother” in my catechism classes and during sermons on Sunday.
So how do you reconcile the child religion, which is still inside of me, versus the spiritual path I am on today. That’s where my spiritual life coach comes in.
I don’t remember how it started, but we eventually got to talk about strings, as in binding me to the church and being unable to free myself from the teachings. So we did an exercise, which I was able to cut that particular tie that bound me to my childhood religion.
Now I had begun to get away from that religion for quite a while, but there were still underpinnings below the surface. The ties that bind, so to speak.
The exercise my spiritual life coach had me do related to my freeing myself from the bondages of the catholic church, regarding mother and father on a spiritual level. and renaming that energy to something like Mother Earth or Moher Nature. You get the idea..
Ever since that exercise, I must say that my shoulders have felt less tense than they normally do,
I managed to have released the hold the catholic church on me regarding “honoring thy mother and father.”
It has made a huge difference in my life. There are two more parts to work on relating to this. I’m not sure what they are, but spirit will reveal to me what it is,
